Competitor apps have smartphone apps or mobile friendly websites. FLG would benefit by having the same!
Thank you for the suggestion, @David Bartlett. Could you expand on who, when and for what there's a need to use the application on a smartphone. This will help us assess and others vote if they have a similar need.
@Mike Emery: Our business is based on visiting leads in their homes to close the deal. At the moment, we print-out the leads before we visit and then take written notes whilst on-site, to be keyed back into FLG once we return to the office.
If there was a app for FLG, we could view and add/edit notes whilst on site. This would save us 1) preparation time and 2) post-visit data entry, meaning that our salespeople could spend more time on the road doing deals.
@David Bartlett: Many thanks. We've just started work on a new forms feature which may help. You could setup an online form for completion during your visit which would feed data into FLG. This would be accessible via a browser and could be specific to the information collected during a visit, of which there could be different types. Keep an eye out for this in early 2019.
@Mike Emery: Thanks Mike, the Forms functionality only appears to be available on the XL package. There's only 2 of us at the moment, on the cheaper package (which annoyingly, still insists on a minimum of 5 purchased users -- see my other suggestion), meaning that competitors offerings are *much* cheaper (and already mobile friendly).
@Mike Emery: im always looking at FLG on my phone, responding to emails that come through at all hours. Every time i access it which is several times per day i think its rediculous that this isnt mobile friendly
@Terry Brooke: Thanks for your feedback - I have added your vote to the post. We're aware that some FLG users need better mobile access and we're considering that requirement in everything new we do.
@Mike Emery: Mobile Friendly would make a decent start, I'm not sure a full fledged app would be massively useful at this stage. But mobile optimised screens would be of great use to our Field Users as using standard FLG screens on a mobile device is very difficult. I don't know whether it is understood how many users across FLG are "field' vs 'office based' users - but maybe this could be a good place to start some research, also with increased workforce mobility could this be a good productivity enhancement.
